Excessive negative thoughts create worry, anxiety, fearfulness, pessimism, phobia, neurosis and the darkness of doubt. A common outcome is the low grade depression which is so prevalent in our communities bringing with it a sense of failure and shame.
This meditation has a hugely therapeutic effect because you consciously accept your negative thoughts and then engage them as you inhale to the maximum. The exhale gives great relief as you expel the thought and offer it up to the divine for recycling. The continued practice replaces your inner darkness with inner light, hope and healing. This is yogic psychology in action at its absolute best.
