KRIYAS
For the Nervous System & Glandular Balance
This class sets your nervous system to create resilience and develop inner strength. The overwhelming amount of sensory information we have to process has increased exponentially in recent years imprints on the nervous system which then needs to process, neutralize and discharge it. A build up of this stuff reduces sensitivity while overloading your sympathetic nervous system. This Kriya manifests calm endurance and mental resilience to enable you to remain clear and balanced.
For the Frontal Lobe of the Brain
The Kriya for your Frontal Lobe is a wonderful example of applied yogic neuro-psychology. It sequentially recalibrates and resets cerebral function by altering the neuro chemical composition of the cranial fluid. This upgrades and aids cognitive performance. After practice your brain feels fresh, light and alert ready to meet your day.
For Upper Body, Neck & Shoulders
One of the common features of modern life is the reduction in physical work and outdoor pursuits that previous generations experienced. Coupled with this reduction is the increase in physical stasis in our lives. Less walking, gardening and exercising are replaced by being seated, watching TV, computer and gadget screens. The net result is poor circulation of Prana and blood creating more stagnation physically, emotionally and mentally. This set is a wonderful sequence for anybody who lacks exercise and has a sedentary occupation: it will loosen up your upper body, release the local musculature and stimulate the flow of healing pranic force for self healing.

MEDITATIONS
Meditation to Tame the Negative Mind
Excessive negative thoughts create worry, anxiety, fearfulness, pessimism, phobia, neurosis and the darkness of doubt. A common outcome is the low grade depression which is so prevalent in our communities bringing with it a sense of failure and shame.

This meditation has a hugely therapeutic effect because you consciously accept your negative thoughts and then engage them as you inhale to the maximum. The exhale gives great relief as you expel the thought and offer it up to the divine for recycling. The continued practice replaces your inner darkness with inner light, hope and healing. This is yogic psychology in action at its absolute best.
Brahma Mudra Meditation
This practice is the perfect response to the mental overload syndrome that is a feature of modern life. Bombardment of information that has to be processed combines with our unrealistic expectations of ourselves amid a raft of rapidly changing sociological conditions to make us challenge our own concept of our self.

This practice gently and safely gives you the experience of your Brahma - your all that is - which we call the expanded self or the divine self. The screen created by the mudra enables you to see the flow of creative intelligence that you are a part of; a mandala is a geometric form that fascinates the mind and brings your focus back to its centre. You become deeply relaxed and aware of your true essence with a few minutes practice leaving you in a state of tranquility and inner peace. It worked for the Buddha and it will work for you too!
Meditation for the 6 Directions
The modern world tends to a chaotic, volatile and unstable pattern that has to be successfully navigated. Yogis understand that stability comes from within and is a self generated condition that this meditation creates by harmonising the 6 Directions of North, South, East, West. Down and Up. These 6 planes govern and determine our physical and metaphysical circumstances so by chanting the 6 syllables which relate to the directions your life is harmonised, balanced and protected within a stable and solution oriented field. 
EXTRAS
Warm Up Set
Warm up your spine and prepare your body and mind for a Kundalini Yoga practice with this 15-minute set. This set can be used before any kriya or meditation. 
Guided Relaxation
Relaxation is an essential tool after a Kriya in Kundalini Yoga. Guru Dharam will guide you through a deep relaxation that will help you relax, release and consolidate the benefits of your practice.
Meet Your Guide: Guru Dharam Khalsa
Guru Dharam has been teaching Kundalini yoga since 1979 and been practicing Oriental medicine since 1988. As a Keynote speaker on matters of health, vitality, emotional intelligence for Association of Chief Executives in the UK, 2002-2005, Guru Dharam served as an educator to the business and corporate community. 

Guru Dharam founded the International School of Kundalini Yoga in the UK in 1996, (with Darryl O’Keeffe, his co-author of "The Kundalini Yoga Experience") teaching people to become yoga teachers. He lead training courses in Sweden, UK, Germany, Ireland, Israel, New York, and Malaysia.

Guru Dharam is also the course Director of the International Kundalini Therapy Training held in Sweden and an associate Director of the Institute of Medical Yoga, Stockholm. He trains yoga teachers and healthcare professionals to apply the principles of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation in a therapeutic context for challenging modern conditions. For example he has developed programmes for anti stress burn out and attention deficit disorder.

In addition to his practices in Kundalini Yoga and Yoga Therapy, Guru Dharam is also a qualified practitioner of traditional Chinese Medicine and Chinese Herbal Medicine, Internal Feng Shui, Numerology, Dream Teaching, and Red Thread Empowerment.
